Deyar M. Jamil

Deyar M. Jamil represents students and school employees who have been subjected to sexual harassment, assault, or school violence. Ms. Jamil believes in beginning a legal case with a thorough investigation of the facts so that key details are established upfront. Ms. Jamil guides students and families during Title IX proceedings to help them better understand the process from beginning to end and to ensure that they feel supported during the entire process. Ms. Jamil seeks all possible remedies for victims, not only under Title IX. Ms. Jamil has a special interest in representing victims of gun violence and is an advocate for responsible gun ownership and the prevention of gun violence through outreach in local communities.
Ms. Jamil began her legal career as a Presidential Management Fellow with the U.S. Department of Labor. Ms. Jamil served as an Investigator for both the Civil Rights Center and the Employee Benefits Security Administration, and ultimately as a Federal Agent with the Office of Inspector General. Ms. Jamil is an expert interviewer with an extensive background in conducting complex fraud investigations including internal affairs matters, healthcare fraud, public corruption, and labor racketeering.
